Simple Slouchy Hat

A few years ago, when my husband went on his business trip, he brought me back some of the Brooklyn Tweed’s yarn as souvenir. He chose Peerie which is their fingering weight yarn; it’s smooth and bouncy.

Pattern: Sockhead Slouch Hat by Kelly McClure

Yarn: Brooklyn Tweed Peerie in Seaglass

He bought four skeins of Seaglass colourway. Seaglass is a soft pale green that would go well with lots of colours. It’s a beautiful colour but is a hard one to capture by photos!

Two skeins were enough to make my hat (it took about 1.5 skeins).

This is a super simple, classic hat pattern with a lot of stockinette stitches (perfect project for TV watching). It’s meant to be slouchy and a little bit loose to be really comfortable to wear.

I prefer wearing the ribbed brim folded up!

I don’t always wear a hat as my hair usually keeps my head warm enough. But even I would need one when it’s -30 (celsius) outside! Since I rarely need a heavy duty super warm hat, this lightweight simple hat will come in handy, I’m sure!

Most of my blog photos taken indoors, I usually take them by myself with a tripod and a remote. This time we went outside and my husband took some photos for me!

The autumn yellow backdrop was perfect to photograph this colour.

We snapped a couple of photo of my Canaan Hat as well in the same setting!
