Red Miette Cardigan

My first Miette is done! This is also my first time trying patterns by Untangling Knots (Andi Satterlund) and it was very lovely to knit.

Yarn: Pacific in Christmas Red by Cascade Yarns

Pattern: Miette by Andi Satterlund (Miette on Ravelry)

I can't believe that Miette is a free pattern... It's so cute and well written!

I wear lots of fit and flare dresses and I find regular length cardigans don't go too well with this particular shape of dresses, so I'm very excited that many of Andi's designs are cropped cardigans!

Red Miette cardigan

I had never knitted top-down sweater or cardigan before but I had no trouble.

I chose Miette as my first top-down pattern because it’s simple yet pretty and is knit with worsted weight yarn! So it knit up fairly quickly.

The eyelet details are so adorable!

The back is pretty simple, which I like.

It goes so well with my mushroom dress. This combo makes me so happy!

I thought these darts-like shaping is pretty clever. It fits great too.

I like wearing my cardigans with the front open so that I can show off the print of the dress!

Red Miette cardigan

I love this sleeve length—I find it really elegant.

I’m already working on another Miette. I can’t wait to try other patterns from Untangling Knot too.
